Madison Reed Hair Color Review - Is it worth it? Does it work?

Over and over I have been seeing the Madison Reed advertising for their hair dye. I love to have my hair colored in a salon, but let's face it, that's money. I don't mind dying my own hair. Though I find it a pain. When I was young my mom would streak my hair with some of her dye. I already had honey blond hair but she dyed her hair a light blond (and still does to this day) which added lovely highlights to my hair. As I grew older, I also grew more adventurous. I always felt like I could do whatever I wanted to my hair. All else fails, cut it off and grow it again, or dye it another color. I finally settled on black. Sure, I first did black when I was a rebellious teen. Later, it was what I was comfortable with, like it was the hair color I was meant to have. Occasionally, I would do the long drawn out process of color correcting it to either a red or brown, but I always went back to black. After counting the measly money left in my pocket, I felt it was time to swit...

Nivea in place of Creme de la Mer?

I was so sad to get to the end of my tub of Creme de la Mer.  You know I made sure to get every bit of it out of that jar.  I love the cream and it has helped my skin to no end, especially during and after vacations.  My dry skin always pays the price when I go to the hot beachy climate.  But every time, my skin heals in lightning speed because I keep slathering this bad boy on. Okay, back to my empty jar.  I was about to get a new one when my frugal side kicked in.  I knew this stuff worked, but was it actually worth the crazy price tag?  I put it off and scoured the internet to find an affordable replacement. I read that many people will use Nivea in Creme de la Mer's stead.  Cheap, easy, found everywhere... no prob.  I bought a large container and a small travel/purse size.  Everyday, just like I would use the Creme de la Mer, I used the Nivea.  My face never looked so greasy.  And that greasy lasted.  I ended up ha...

Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm Review

I have way too many cleansers for my face, but I switch everything out depending on what my skin is doing.  It's also how I justify having more foundation to choose from than most make up artists. I was searching for a cleansing balm.  They have been around for ages and I had tried a couple of samples.  Yes, the Eve Lom is absolutely yummy.  It's just a bit high priced for a face cleanser for me.  Normally my switchout is from the following:  Shiseido Perfect Whip, Kose Softymo Cleansing Oil, Ponds Cold Cream, Oil of Olay ProX, Erno Lazlo.  Truth be told.... I am kind of tired digging through all this crap for the cleanser of the day.  I want products that I can do blindfolded and are routine for me.  They also must work overtime. I saw the Clinique cleansing balm on Amazon.  I didn't even know that Clinique made a cleansing balm.  There were a couple of cheaper options there, but there were also some cray (crazier than Eve Lom)...

Bio-essence Face Lifting Cream Review

Image
I saw this product on a review YouTube posting.  I thought I would try it, what the heck.  It took forever to get to me from Thailand.  It was the post, not the seller.  I only complain because I hate waiting to try new things. Once I got this package, I took it out of the box and saw this tiny little pot, and a measuring tape.  The product states that you can use it as your moisturizer, so that is what I did for the first try though I was skeptical with my dry skin.  A little bit of this product goes a long way.  I wish it came with a little scoop because I hate putting my fingers in product containers.  I waited a bit after the application and sure enough it did what it said.  I thought to myself "so this is why its such a hot product in Singapore."  I went off to work.  No one mentioned anything being noticeable.  I went home for lunch and checked the mirror.  Low and behold, it looked like I forgot to add moisturizer...

Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask Review

I have seen the Bliss Triple Oxygen Instant Energizing Mask everywhere and saw all the rave reviews on it, so I decided to go ahead and splurge.  I tried it every other day in the morning. This mask is super easy to use.  It says to use a generous layer.  I used four pumps.  I tried five once and felt it was too much.  The mask fizzes up immediately and you can feel it tingle.  Not a bad tingle, but just a bunch of bubbles.  The fizz disappeared fairly quickly, and a couple of times I was completely dried out before the five minutes was up, and my face was not thrilled.  It was much better after I took a wet washcloth to it.  Generally I would put this on and iron my clothes for the day to pass the time. My face felt a bit firmer, but it was the same hydration look that I get after I wash my face in the morning.  By the afternoon, it looked like I needed another mask.  I would really prefer to see some long lasting results....

wrinkleMD™ Eye Hyaluronic Filler Patch 30-Day Starter System

Okay, I'm 35 as of November and I'm dealing with my insecurities of aging.  I've been blessed with good genes, and have always looked younger than my years.  Most people I've had comment on my age believe that I am in my twenties.  However those fine lines are appearing and suddenly I am no longer being looked at as a younger lass.  Ouch! My ego hurts.  So I am of course looking for anything to stop the clock (or reverse).  I tried botox about three years ago as a preventive measure.  I was very happy with the results, but had trouble swallowing the cost.  Every once in a while though I get a wild hair and splurge on something new.  This time I was online at Nordstrom and saw the wrinkleMD.  I checked out reviews online and saw that HSN also had a package, but it was slightly different.  I'm give and take on HSN, so I went with Nordstrom.  It cost $129.00 for the starter package.  It came with the electronic gadget you cli...
