Almased to the vacation rescue

I am going to Mexico in a week.  It looks like its time for a Almased fast to make sure that I am swimsuit ready. I have strategically placed blender ball mixers at the house and at work.  I also made sure to have a brand new canister, almond milk, and some stevia.  I'm not too sure about loading up on other flavors to add.  I really do enjoy the taste.  I think the only downside to Almased is the bit of chalky texture that it can get.  But its not nearly as bad as another name brand vegan protein shake mix I have, so blessings counted. I'm going to start with the three shakes a day.  I start my mornings with a glass of water.  I have a pitcher that I put some sliced cucumber and orange in to up the flavor. Definitely makes it easy to get your water in.  Then I have my cup of coffee.  (I've cut way down on coffee, and after my trip to Europe, I've found American coffee severely lacking.  Perhaps I can get a coffee maker ...

Back to 80% Raw Diet

Image
I know, I know.  I keep going back and forth on this, but recent events have changed my mind.  I've blown up. Weight wise that is.  And for those who do not know, I used to be very over weight, and it is what makes me so conscious of my body and weight now. As I decided to do something about my weight, I went back to the 6 week body makeover (6WBMO).  I pre-made a lot of food, portioned it, and was on it for a short while.  I was on plan, and trying my best.  Unfortunately, I ended up feeling completely toxic.  I felt heavy, nauseous, and tired.  The 6WBMO has 5 meals with a small amount of lean animal protein, a portion of selected slow burning carbs, and 100 oz. of water a day.  Drinking that much water is a pain in the tuckas!!  It's a very hard diet to be on, but I knew it worked from the first time that I tried it.  I went from a size 16 to a size 4.  This was before I found raw foods. I also will note t...

Almased again

Okay, so I know Almased works.  And, as my weight scale and tight clothes tell me that I've added some bulk recently, I am restarting the program.  So nice to think that I can just fall back to it.  I just need to be a bit more strict with my approach this time on keeping the weight off.  I didn't post the remainder of the diet for everyone last time, but that would be due to the monotony of the posts.  There are other things besides my shakes going on. This morning, I have my shake with Almond Breeze unsweetened coconut vanilla milk, cinnamon, vanilla extract, and stevia in my blender ball shaker.  Tastes pretty good, and it's cold which is a must for these shakes.  I will need to replenish my Almased canister at work as I am down to one more shake after this one.  Just enough to get me home.  I also have my NSA veggie boullion to drink, and I know from experience, that I will need to make sure that I drink it.  Especially before I le...

Almased Morning of Day 5

Oh my gosh, I was so tired yesterday.  But I stuck to the plan completely. I had three shakes yesterday, switching up the flavor ever so slightly.  I have found that I actually enjoy the flavor of Almased.  I didn't put the oil in my afternoon shake, but the broth cubes have an oil in them so I wasn't too worried about it.  I had two snacks of veggie broth. To combat my afternoon craving, and to make sure that I didn't end up in a restaurant parking lot, I had my afternoon broth about an hour before I left work.  Seemed to do the trick for the most part.  I went from my normal cheerful self to kind of mean and grumpy.  I normally only get that way if my blood sugar is low, so I figured I better get my evening shake in as soon as possible.  That seemed to do the trick. After that I was reading in my chair and just feeling exhausted.  It was only 6:30 p.m., but I felt like I just had to lie down.  I ended up waking once, which is goo...

Almased Day 4

Okay, so the weekend apparently was not the time to start my diet.  My husband came home from his business trip and I had dinner's to go to.  I did get in a couple of shakes and tried to keep the meals that I did eat low carb.  Today is Monday, and I get to restart in a way.  Back to shakes only for a short bit and then I can continue on. I started at 152 lbs. and got down to 149 after one day.  With everything going on, that weight has maintained.  I think a lot of that has to do with the shakes.  I look forward to seeing what the scale has to say to me tomorrow. This morning I had my shake with 8 tablespoons Almased, 10 oz. of unsweetened chocolate almond milk, 1 teaspoon of maca, 1/2 cap full of vanilla, 2 packets of stevia, and a couple shakes of cinnamon. Lunch's shake will be 8 Tablespoons of Almased, 10 oz. of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 2 packets of stevia, couple shakes of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon powdered green tea. I went to the s...

Almased Day 2

This is the morning of day 2 for me.  I thought I would check in early and update you all.  Everything with the diet went well until after work.  My lunch is from 12-1 and I did have some tea and water after that, but could not get myself to drink the broth.  I stopped off at the store on the way home to pick up a couple of things.  By the time I was almost home, around 5:10 p.m., I was starting to get crazy cravings.  I seriously almost landed myself in front of a restaurant trying to figure a way to justify solid food during the liquids only portion of this diet. I finally told myself no and got my bootie home.  I made my shake right away and made sure to add the flax oil I forgot during the day.  I still was having some cravings for carbs, but I think a lot of that was also my habits of bad eating that I just need to break. My husband came home from his business trip that night and before I knew it, he had a glass of wine in my hand....

Almased?

So I heard about Almased though one of my many searches on the internet.  As I have been unhappy for a while, I looked a bit closer after I saw an ad for it in a natural health magazine.  At first I thought it was ridiculous.  It was more like just starving  yourself.  That was the extreme short term diet apparently. After I started looking it at it a bit more, I got to wondering.  No hurt in trying.  The fasting period is quite short with the diet program I chose.  Only 2-3 days.  There was another with about a week, but that was the one that looked all crazy. I read a LOT of comments on this product on Amazon and took some advice from there on how people like to mix it.  I am going to be mixing mine with unsweetened almond milk (can switch out for the unsweetened chocolate almond milk), a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, a shake or two of cinnamon, 2 packets of truvia (stevia), a spoonful of EVOO or flax oil.  I have a vitamix for at ho...
