Almased Morning of Day 5

Oh my gosh, I was so tired yesterday.  But I stuck to the plan completely. I had three shakes yesterday, switching up the flavor ever so slightly.  I have found that I actually enjoy the flavor of Almased.  I didn't put the oil in my afternoon shake, but the broth cubes have an oil in them so I wasn't too worried about it.  I had two snacks of veggie broth. To combat my afternoon craving, and to make sure that I didn't end up in a restaurant parking lot, I had my afternoon broth about an hour before I left work.  Seemed to do the trick for the most part.  I went from my normal cheerful self to kind of mean and grumpy.  I normally only get that way if my blood sugar is low, so I figured I better get my evening shake in as soon as possible.  That seemed to do the trick. After that I was reading in my chair and just feeling exhausted.  It was only 6:30 p.m., but I felt like I just had to lie down.  I ended up waking once, which is good because I got to set my alarm clock

Almased Day 4

Okay, so the weekend apparently was not the time to start my diet.  My husband came home from his business trip and I had dinner's to go to.  I did get in a couple of shakes and tried to keep the meals that I did eat low carb.  Today is Monday, and I get to restart in a way.  Back to shakes only for a short bit and then I can continue on. I started at 152 lbs. and got down to 149 after one day.  With everything going on, that weight has maintained.  I think a lot of that has to do with the shakes.  I look forward to seeing what the scale has to say to me tomorrow. This morning I had my shake with 8 tablespoons Almased, 10 oz. of unsweetened chocolate almond milk, 1 teaspoon of maca, 1/2 cap full of vanilla, 2 packets of stevia, and a couple shakes of cinnamon. Lunch's shake will be 8 Tablespoons of Almased, 10 oz. of unsweetened vanilla almond milk, 2 packets of stevia, couple shakes of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon powdered green tea. I went to the store and had gotten a coup

Almased Day 2

This is the morning of day 2 for me.  I thought I would check in early and update you all.  Everything with the diet went well until after work.  My lunch is from 12-1 and I did have some tea and water after that, but could not get myself to drink the broth.  I stopped off at the store on the way home to pick up a couple of things.  By the time I was almost home, around 5:10 p.m., I was starting to get crazy cravings.  I seriously almost landed myself in front of a restaurant trying to figure a way to justify solid food during the liquids only portion of this diet. I finally told myself no and got my bootie home.  I made my shake right away and made sure to add the flax oil I forgot during the day.  I still was having some cravings for carbs, but I think a lot of that was also my habits of bad eating that I just need to break. My husband came home from his business trip that night and before I knew it, he had a glass of wine in my hand.  I did end up having a couple of glasses, w

Almased?

So I heard about Almased though one of my many searches on the internet.  As I have been unhappy for a while, I looked a bit closer after I saw an ad for it in a natural health magazine.  At first I thought it was ridiculous.  It was more like just starving  yourself.  That was the extreme short term diet apparently. After I started looking it at it a bit more, I got to wondering.  No hurt in trying.  The fasting period is quite short with the diet program I chose.  Only 2-3 days.  There was another with about a week, but that was the one that looked all crazy. I read a LOT of comments on this product on Amazon and took some advice from there on how people like to mix it.  I am going to be mixing mine with unsweetened almond milk (can switch out for the unsweetened chocolate almond milk), a 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, a shake or two of cinnamon, 2 packets of truvia (stevia), a spoonful of EVOO or flax oil.  I have a vitamix for at home and a blender ball mixer for while I am away or at
